Avionics Mechanic
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical preflight functional testing to locate
and correct malfunctions of all electrical equipment.
- Assist in troubleshooting electrical slave systems and
replace components when required.
- Assist in troubleshooting and replacing electrical
components actuating hydraulically and pneumatically operated systems.
- Correct malfunctions of electrical components as a result
of RDR's or squawks.
- Use a variety of manuals, wiring diagrams and test guides
to employ established procedures for the proper and complete inspection and
testing of electrical functions.
- Maintain accurate records concerning all work performed.
- Observe Company regulations including housekeeping and the
use of proper safety methods and equipment.
- Install and Fabricate Kits and Modifications for Avionics
and Instruments for Aircraft and Helicopters.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities:
- A & P or FCC Phone required.
- A minimum of two years' previous aircraft experience
performing electrical preflight, troubleshooting, inspection or related
duties.
- Sustained physical effort frequently working in cramped
spaces or uncomfortable or awkward positions.
- Continuous mental and visual attention to perform work
requiring very close limits of accuracy, frequently in poorly lit areas.
- Ability to read and understand appropriate manuals,
schematics, and technical information necessary to adequately perform
duties.
- Must be able to perform a variety of mechanical and
physical jobs in a manner consistent with top quality and efficiency.
