Aircraft Mechanic
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspects, troubleshoots, repairs and
performs maintenance operations on customer aircraft and helicopters in
accordance with appropriate technical manuals, engineering drawings and FAA
regulations subject to inspection.
- Performs periodic inspections on aircraft in accordance
with appropriate maintenance manuals.
- Troubleshoots aircraft for problems in course of routing
inspections or at customer request, or during in-flight inspection.
- Repairs defective or malfunctioning parts or systems
excluding avionics and certain flight instruments, as indicated by the
customer or as recognized through an inspection of the aircraft.
- Records defective or malfunctioning parts or systems in
appropriate work logs.
- Writes dispositions and corrective actions on repairs for
purposes of customer billing and inspection acceptance.
- May perform structural modifications or repairs to aircraft
using rivet guns, drills, motors, air screwdrivers, shavers, sealant guns
and other appropriate tools and equipment.
- May fuel or de-fuel aircraft as required.
- Tows aircraft from one site to another as required using
tug and tow bar.
Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities:
- High school education or equivalent.
- Minimum three-five years experience as A&P Technician.
- A & P License Required.
- Helicopter Experience Preferred.
- Ability to read and understand appropriate manuals,
schematics, and technical information necessary to adequately perform
duties.
- Must be able to perform a variety of mechanical and
physical jobs in a manner consistent with top quality and efficiency.
- Must be able to follow verbal and detailed written
instructions.
